UPDATE: Man bailed following fatal A23 crash

A man's died following a serious collision on the A23 in West Sussex.

Emergency services were called out after a vehicle left the southbound carriageway near Bolney at around 10.10pm on Saturday (August 10th).

A 25-year-old man was treated by medical personnel at the scene, but was pronounced deceased a short while later. His next of kin have been informed.

Three men, all aged 25 and from London, were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

Sussex Police tell us two of them have since been released without charge.

The third has been released on conditional bail.

Enquiries are underway to establish the circumstances of the collision, and Sussex Police are asking those with dash cam footage, or who witnessed the collision to contact them by emailing collision.appeal@sussex.police.uk, or by calling 101 quoting Operation Promise.
