Teens seen fighting with weapons in Crawley park

Several teenagers have been arrested

Sussex Police are appealing for witnesses after a group of teenagers were seen fighting with weapons in a park in Crawley.

Officers were called out to Maidenbower Park shortly before 4pm on Sunday (6 April) and the group quickly dispersed, running into neighbouring streets.

Following a search of the area, four teenagers were arrested.

A 14 and 15-year-old boy were arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon in a public place, and for affray.

A further 14-year-old was arrested on suspicion of affray, and a 15-year-old was arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.

All the children were from Crawley and they have since been bailed with strict conditions.

Anyone with information is asked to come forward.
