Teenager arrested after pedestrian seriously injured in St Leonards crash
A car hit a group of people earlier this month
Police investigating a crash in St Leonards in which a pedestrian was seriously injured have arrested a 17-year-old boy.
Officers were called to Blackman Avenue on January 3rd following reports a grey Jaguar car had collided with a group of people.
The car had been seen driving up and down Blackman Avenue prior to the collision, and made off afterwards in the direction of the traffic lights at Battle Road.
One of the pedestrians required hospital treatment but has since been discharged.
The boy arrested has been questioned on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and released on conditional bail while enquiries continue.
Officers investigating the collision are keen to speak to anyone who saw what happened, or who may have captured any dash cam footage of the car being driven in the area around the time of the collision.
