Teen suffers 'significant injuries' following stabbing in Brighton

It comes just days after 17-year-old Mustafa Momand was stabbed to death in the city

A man has been taken to hospital with 'significant injuries' following a stabbing in Brighton this morning (Monday 9th October.

Police were called to reports in Trafalgar Street at around 3.50am.

A 22 year-old man was taken to hospital.

Officers say they are carrying out extensive searches in the area and the public can expect to see a heightened police presence while enquiries are ongoing.

It comes just days after a 17-year-old Mustafa Momand was stabbed to death in the city.

Officers say they're continuing to question a 16-year-old on suspicion of murder in connection with the attack in Queens Road last Thursday evening (5th October).
