Sussex national park named the most dog-friendly in the UK

It's the only place in the country to secure a perfect score

A national park in Sussex is the best in the UK when it comes to dog-friendly facilities, according to new research.

Sheffield Park and Gardens in East Sussex was the only place in the country to secure the maximum 100 out of 100 in a poll conducted by the website tails.com.

A new study by tails.com has revealed the UK’s most dog-friendly National Parks and Ormesby Hall located in Middlesbrough made a surprising appearance in the top ten!

Located near Haywards Heath, the park provides drinking water and waste bins for dogs, dog-friendly eateries both indoor and outdoor and a woodland, garden and park area accessible for dogs.

Petworth Park in West Sussex also scored highly, placing in sixth out of the 20 locations surveyed.

Tails.com rated each location on a 10 point criteria, to reveal the most dog-friendly park; Dog-Friendly, Off lead options, Dog-friendly Garden, Dog-friendly Woodland, Dog-friendly park grounds, Dog-friendly Restaurant, Restaurant exterior, Dog Waste Bins, Dog Drinking Water.
