Two hospitals in Sussex say they're making progress restoring IT systems, after computers and phones went down overnight.

The Royal Sussex County in Brighton and the Princess Royal hospital in Haywards Heath have both declared critical incidents.

People are still being warned to only attend emergency departments in a lifesaving situation.

Ambulances are being diverted and patients taken to other hospitals.

What have the NHS Trust said so far?

University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust said: "The disruption is widespread and frontline teams are affected".

It added anyone trying to contact the hospital by phone to reach a loved one or the ward team would currently be unable to do so.

Temporary maternity triage telephone numbers have been given for use by birthing women and their families.
