A red weather warning for wind for the south has been issued by the Met Office ahead of the arrival of Storm Eunice.

The rare highest alert - meaning a high impact is very likely - runs from 10am until 3pm on Friday.

The Met Office fears the storm will cause "significant disruption and dangerous conditions due to extremely strong winds".

Train delays and cancellations have already been confirmed for parts of the county, and Gatwick airport is advising passengers check before they travel.

All recycling centres in West Sussex are closed on Friday.

For those on the Sussex coast, the RNLI and Coastguard are both urging people to stay away from coastal areas and definitely out of the water.
