Water coming back for many in Sussex
Some people have been without water for 6 days
Southern Water has reported that most people in St Leonards now have their mains water supply back following disruptions caused by a burst main over the bank holiday weekend. However, some customers are still experiencing issues with their water supply.
Southern Water says their primary focus is currently on assisting those customers who have not yet had their mains supply fully restored.
They are implementing measures such as setting up bottled water stations, organising doorstep deliveries, and utilizing tankers to provide support to affected individuals.
Residents in the area are advised to anticipate low water pressures during peak times as reservoir levels are gradually replenished.
Additionally, Southern Water has announced its intention to consider compensation for residents and businesses impacted by the incident on a goodwill basis.
