Six men charged over fight in Portslade
Two men were taken to hospital following the incident
Six men have appeared in court in connection with a violent altercation in Portslade.
Sussex Police said emergency services were called to Station Road on Tuesday afternoon (April 2) to reports of a fight with weapons.
Two men were taken to hospital in a critical condition after the street fight in East Sussex.
The force previously confirmed a 24-year-old man from Norfolk remains in hospital with serious injuries, but is in a stable condition.
Six suspects, aged between 19 and 30, were charged and appeared at Brighton Magistrates' Court on Thursday.
All six are due to next appear in court on 2 May.
Sussex Police also said a 21-year-old from Brighton who was arrested on suspicion of affray and a 29-year-old from Worthing who was arrested on suspicion of affray, possession of an offensive weapon and grievous bodily harm with intent have been bailed while enquiries continue.
A 24-year-old man from Norfolk was also arrested yesterday (5 April) on suspicion of violent disorder, possession of an offensive weapon and grievous bodily harm with intent.
Police are now appealing for more information in relation to the incident.
