Six engines called to tackle fire in Bosham

The blaze broke out at an industrial unit in the early hours of Monday (January 11th).

Fire crews from across West Sussex and Hampshire have been called to tackle a blaze which broke out overnight in Bosham.

Teams were first alerted to the incident at an industrial unit near Delling Lane at 1.47am on Monday (January 11th).

A spokesperson for West Sussex Fire and Rescue said firefighters from Bognor and Chichester were called out, along with Hampshire Fire and Rescue teams from Havant and Emsworth.

"The water carrier from Petworth and the Incident Command Unit from Haywards Heath were also sent to the scene.

“Firefighters worked through the night to extinguish the fire. We currently have two fire engines on scene, with crews continuing to turn over and damp down.

“We would urge drivers to avoid the area for the time being.”
