Search for group involved in Euros final assault in Hastings

Five people were targeted by a large number of people wearing England shirts

Police are searching for a large group involved in an assault on five people in Hastings in the early hours following the Euro 2024 final.

The victims were attacked by men, women and children, many of who were wearing England shirts and carrying flags, in Havelock Road at around 12.30am on July 15th.

Following the incident, the victims were assaulted again by the group, a short while later in Castle Hill Road.

A man in his 20s sustained serious facial injuries, requiring ongoing hospital treatment.

The four other victims were left with minor injuries.
