Diversions in place following major fire in Crowborough

It has been said that road closures will remain in place for some time

Road closures remain in place this morning (Tuesday 14th June) following a fire at a derelict building in Crowborough.

Fire crews were called to Old Lane at 9.20pm. Firefighters from Crowborough, Mayfield, Wadhurst, Uckfield and Lewes attended the scene.

They were later joined by Hailsham and Forest Row crews. Sussex Police closed off nearby roads and diversions are in place.

UK Power Networks and a Building Inspector has been requested to attend.

Wealden Police added that no one was injured and it's not yet known how it started.
