Plans to build a brand new fire station and training centre for West Sussex in Horsham will be debated by planners on Tuesday (February 2nd).

The project, situated on land off the A24 at Highwood Mill, would feature training buildings, car parking, landscaping, access and emergency access onto the road.

It is expected to become the county's main centre for live fire training, replacing the current setup in operation at Gatwick Airport.

The majority of the site has previously been identified as development land for a new fire station, with outline planning permission previously approved by Horsham District Council.

West Sussex County County's planning committee will meet virtually from 10.30am, with the meeting being streamed online here.
