Sussex Police have released a picture of a man they want to speak to in connection with a street attack last month.

A 28-year-old woman was walking with her partner along St James Street, Brighton, when she was punched in the face by a man leaving her with a fractured eye socked.

The assault happened just outside the Bulldog pub, from which the suspect had just come out with two other men who are not alleged to have committed any offence.

The man police want to speak to is described as white, about 6'2", of medium build with brown hair in a top knot.

Detective Constable Victoria Thornton-Green said; "This was an unprovoked attack on the woman by a complete stranger. We hope that publication of his image will result in his identification so that we can trace him.
