Police looking for owners of 82 pieces of stolen jewellery found in Crawley

Sussex Police is looking for the owners of more than 80 pieces of stolen jewellery seized in a warrant.

Officers attended Pelham Place, Crawley, on Wednesday (11 November) after reports of a bicycle being stolen.

A warrant was then carried out at an address in Boswell Road, Crawley, where officers discovered a number of stolen items, including 82 pieces of jewellery.

A 34 year-old man from Crawley was arrested on 11 November on suspicion of handling stolen goods, four counts of burglary dwelling with intent to steal and one count of possession of cannabis.

He was released on police bail until today (10 December).

Police would like to hear from anyone who has recently had items of jewellery stolen from them or who recognises any of the items.
