Police investigating apparent shooting of two cats in Sompting

They were both found with pellets from an air rifle on The Lawns

Two cats are recovering from injuries sustained after reportedly being shot by an air rifle in Sompting.

Sussex Police say one cat was found with an air rifle pellet in its leg on Monday (9 October), whilst another was found with a pellet in its lung on Sunday (15 October).

They believe the incidents - which took place on The Lawns - are linked.

They're now investigating the incidents and are urging residents to come forward with information.
