Person hit by train between Horsham and Arundel

Southern Rail have said that a person has been hit by a train between Horsham and Arundel this morning (Saturday 1 May).

TRAIN LINES CLOSED

All lines have been closed, and the operator says trains may be cancelled or diverted until approximately 2:00pm.

They warn passengers that journeys on this route will take much longer, and advise you to consider travelling later, if possible.

Replacement bus services are being provided.

Southen Railway's staff are working with the emergency services and Network Rail to deal with this incident as sensitively, quickly and safely as possible.
