Pensioner dies in hospital following Worthing crash

A 75-year-old man has died nearly a week following a collision in Worthing.

He was seriously injured in the crash, which involved a van and a pedestrian, on the A27 at Crockhurst Hill at around 4.10pm on December 6th.

Sussex Police said the pedestrian, who was from the town, suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital, where he passed away on Thursday (December 12th).

His family has been told.

The driver of the van, a Mercedes Vito, was uninjured in the collision.

Officers are investigating the full circumstances of the incident and are appealing for any information or dashcam footage.
