Pedestrian seriously injured following collision with car in Worthing

Police are investigating a collision between a car and a pedestrian in Worthing which left a man with serious injuries.

The crash took place in Sompting Avenue, close to the junction with Beaumont Road, at 7.10am on Tuesday (February 2nd).

The pedestrian - a 60-year-old man - suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Police are seeking to identify the man, who did not have identification on him, and is described as being white with grey hair.

Anyone who saw either the man or the vehicle involved prior to the collision, or who witnessed what happened or who may have relevant dash-cam footage is urged to come forwards.
