People in two West Sussex villages are celebrating after winning the People's Postcode Lottery.

Seven people in Hassocks and two people in Billingshurst have won £1,000 each.

The Sycamore Way and Meadow Close neighbours netted the money when their postcodes were announced as Daily Prize winners yesterday (22 December).

People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Danyl Johnson has congratulated the winners and said "it’s an amazing surprise to receive at this time of year":

"I’m sure they’ll enjoy spending the cash and treat themselves to something special."

A minimum of 32 per cent of ticket sales goes directly to charities and players of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised more than £600 million to date for thousands of good causes in Britain and beyond.

This draw was promoted by NSPCC, a children's charity which also runs Childline, which has received more than £5.2 million in funding thanks to players.
