Motorcyclist killed in collision near Camber

Police are appealing for dashcam footage after the crash involving a lorry

A motorcyclist from Kent has been killed in a collision with a lorry near Camber in East Sussex.

Emergency services were called to Jury's Gap Road at just after 12.20pm on Monday (August 12th).

The rider, a 47-year-old man from Hythe, was pronounced dead at the scene. Sussex Police said his next of kin have been informed.

The lorry driver, a 46-year-old man from Romney Marsh in Kent, was not injured.

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information such as CCTV footage, mobile phone footage, or dashcam footage of the vehicles in the area at the time to come forward.

Anyone with information about the collision is asked to report it to Sussex Police online or by email to collision.appeal@sussex.police.uk quoting Operation Rutherford.
