Motorcyclist killed in A21 crash

Police have made an arrest following the collision near Robertsbridge last night (Thursday 10th)

A motorcyclist has died following a crash involving his bike and a Transit van on the A21 in East Sussex.

Emergency services were called to the John's Cross roundabout near Robertsbridge at just before 8pm last night (Thursday 10th).

The rider of the motorcycle, a 38-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. Sussex Police has said his next of kin have been informed.

The driver of the Ford Transit, a 32-year-old man from St Leonards, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving, and driving while unfit through drink or drugs.

He remained in custody as of 11am on Friday.

Officers are investigating, and want witnesses or anyone with relevant information such as dashcam or CCTV footage of the vehicles in the area at the time to come forward.
