Motorcyclist taken to hospital after M23 crash
A motorcyclist is in hospital with serious injuries following a crash on the M23
Sussex Police have confirmed a motorcyclist is in hospital with serious injuries following a collision on the M23 in West Sussex.
Emergency services attended reports of a crash involving two motorbikes on the northbound carriageway between junctions 111 and 10, near Crawley.
In a statement, Sussex Police said:
"Emergency services were called to Junction 10 of the M23 at around 6.45pm on Wednesday (20 March) to reports of a collision involving two motorcycles.
"The northbound carriageway was closed while one of the motorcycle riders was taken to hospital with serious injuries, not considered to be life-threatening or life-changing at this time."
National Highways have confirmed all lanes have since reopened after the collision.
The incident comes only weeks after six people were taken to hospital following a pile-up involving multiple vehicles along the same stretch of motorway.
34 people were also treated at the scene.
