Motorcyclist dies following West Sussex collision

Police have arrested a man following the crash near Burgess Hill on Tuesday (February 21st)

A motorcyclist from East Grinstead has died following a crash in West Sussex on Tuesday (February 21st).

Police were called to reports of a collision involving a motorcycle and a Mercedes Sprinter van in London Road in Albourne, near Arden Grange, at around 12.30pm.

The 61-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. Sussex Police said his next of kin have been informed.

The van driver, a 42-year-old man from Whyteleafe in Surrey, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving. He has been released on unconditional bail.
