The 73-year-old has suffered potentially life-changing injuries
Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious crash on the A259 in East Sussex, which left a motorcyclist with potentially life-threatening or changing injuries.
The collision, between a van and a motorcycle, happened on the A259 between Exceat and Friston at around 4.30pm on Monday (January 30th).
The road was closed for several hours while emergency crews, including the air ambulance, were called to the scene.
The motorcyclist, a 73-year-old man, was airlifted to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton with serious, potentially life threatening or life changing injuries.
Investigating officers are particularly keen to speak with the rider of a moped with learner plates who was ahead of the collision and may have information which could assist their enquiries.
A 27-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and has been release on bail until April 30 while enquiries continue.
