Man punched and kicked repeatedly in Littlehampton

The victim was confronted by a group of people as he moved a bag blocking traffic

Police are investigating an assault in Littlehampton which left a man needing hospital treatment for facial injuries.

The victim was walking along Arundel Road sometime between 9.30pm and 11.30pm on Friday, October 27, when he spotted a carrier bag causing traffic queues.

He moved the bag out of the road and placed it next to a group of people nearby, which he believed it belonged to.

He was then confronted by a man in the group who punched and kicked him several times.

The suspect is described as a white man, 5’10” and aged 26-34 wit a beard and dark hair.

Police are now appealing for any witnesses to the attack, particularly those stuck in traffic at the time.
