Man 'wearing pants on face' robs Bognor store

Police make arrest after cash stolen

Police have arrested a man following a robbery at a convenience store in Bognor.

A man with a pair of red boxer shorts covering his face entered Tesco Express in Station Road at 6.15am on Sunday and demanded money, according to Sussex Police.

He left with a quantity of cash.

Police said those inside the store at the time were left shaken by the incident but were otherwise unhurt.

A Sussex Police spokesperson said 'A 25-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of robbery.

"He has been released on condition bail until September 27th while enquiries continue."
