Man killed after car hits tree on Hayling Island

Police have issued an appeal for dashcam footage

Police are appealing for witness after a man died when his car hit a tree on Hayling Island.

The 20-year-old local man was pronounced dead at the scene on West Lane, just south of Daw Lane, on Saturday morning (October 10th).

He was in a black Mazda 2 which left the road at just before 7.30am.

Hampshire Constabulary said the man's next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

Officers are investigating the circumstances of this incident and would like to hear from anyone who saw the collision, or the vehicle before the collision.

They would also like to hear from anyone with dash-cam footage that may help with enquiries.
