Man found dead at side of road in West Sussex

Police believe the 64-year-old may have been involved in a hit and run

Police are appealing after a man was found dead by the side of a road in West Sussex.

The 64-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene after officers were called to Clayton Hill in Hassocks at around 12.40am on Thursday morning (May 18th).

Officers are looking to establish the full circumstances of what happened.

They say the man may have been involved in a collision with a vehicle.

Police are appealing for any information, or anyone who saw the man in the area around that time.

They would particularly like to speak to anyone who may have captured relevant dash cam footage in the vicinity of Clayton Hill.
