Police have named the man found dead in St Leonards, as a man is due to appear in court on Wednesday (April 14th) charged with murder.

The body of 51-year-old Darren Alderton, from St Leonards, was discovered inside a property in Magdalen Road on Thursday (April 8th).

Officers launched a murder investigation and arrested a man in North London on Monday evening (April 12th) in connection with the death.

37-year-old Seyed Iman Tabarhosseini, unemployed and of no fixed address, was charged with murder on Wednesday.

He has been remanded in custody to appear at Brighton Magistrates’ Court later in the day.

Detective Chief Inspector Emma Vickers of Sussex Police said:

“This continues to be a fast-moving investigation and we would like to thank the public for their assistance with this matter.

“We continue to appeal to anyone who thinks they might have information to assist our investigation, to come forward to us.
