Man dies after being found in street in West Sussex village

Police have confirmed that a man has died after being found lying the street in a West Sussex village.

Emergency services, including the air ambulance, were called to The Street in Thakeham at around 11.40pm on Friday night (October 9th) after a man with head injuries was discovered near the White Lion Inn.

First aid was administered but the 41-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

Sussex Police said the death was not being treated as suspicious and has been referred to the coroner.
