Man charged with murdering woman in Shoreham
Police have named the victim as 59-year-old Deborah Gumbrell
Police investigating the death of a woman in Shoreham have charged a man with murder.
They've named the victim as 59-year-olf Deborah Gumbrell, who was found unconscious inside a property in Northbourne Road on Monday (October 24th).
Officers were called out at just after 12.40pm to reports a woman had been seriously assaulted.
Deborah was pronounced dead at the scene.
Sussex Police said her next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
64-year-old James Gumbrell, of Northbourne Close in Shoreham, appeared before Crawley Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (October 26th).
He has been remanded in custody and will appear before Lewes Crown Court on Friday (October 28th).
Officers are still keen to hear from anyone with information which could help them with the investigation.
