Man charged with attempted murder following suspected stabbing in Eastbourne

Police investigating a suspected stabbing in Eastbourne at the weekend have charged a man with attempted murder.
Emergency services were called to reports of a serious assault in Hazelwood Avenue at around 1.25pm on Sunday (February 9th).
A 57-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries consistent with being stabbed.
Sussex Police said he remained there in a stable condition as of Tuesday.
David Clark, who is 58 and from Eastbourne, has also been charged with possession of a bladed article and dangerous driving.
He has been remanded in custody to appear before Brighton Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.
Police are not seeking anyone else in connection with the incident, however anyone who has information is urged to come forward.
