Man charged with attempted murder in Crawley
Police were called after reports a man was armed with a knife
A man has been charged with attempted murder after an officer was injured in Crawley.
Police were called to West Green Drive around 9.35am on Thursday (17th December) following concerns for a man in possession of a knife.
The man was detained, during which time an officer suffered a minor laceration to his hand.
He was taken to hospital for treatment.
Jack Chao, 37, a solicitor of West Green Drive, Crawley, was charged with attempted murder on Friday (18th December).
He will appear before Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Saturday (19th December).
