Man charged following violent fight in East Sussex

A man has been charged with GBH after a fight broke out in Horam, East Sussex, leaving a woman with serious injuries.

Police were called to Beaufort Road at around 10.30pm on Tuesday, June 20, following reports of an altercation between a group of people.

After causing damage to a property, they moved to Tollwood Road where a woman in her 20s were attacked by a man with a bladed weapon.

Liam Richardson, of no fixed address, was arrested shortly after and charged with causing grievous bodily harm, possession of a bladed article and criminal damage.

The 33-year-old has been remanded in custody while enquiries continue.
