Police have charged a man following two assaults at a pub in Ringmer.

Officers were called to reports of a man with a knife outside the Cock Inn on Old Uckfield Road on October 7th.

The suspect was reported to have hit one man in the face and driven at another, causing an injury to his arm, before fleeing the scene in a VW Golf.

He was charged with grievous bodily harm with intent, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and threatening a person with a blade or sharply pointed article in a public place.

Doe has been remanded in custody to appear at court on November 8th.
