Man assaulted during attempted robbery in Eastbourne
A group of men heard his cries for help and came to intervene.
Police are looking into an attempted robbery in Eastbourne after a man was attacked near Gildredge Park.
The victim was walking in Borough Lane on Friday, January 20th, when two men approached him and demanded money.
As the assault took place, another group of men heard his call for help and came to intervene before anything was taken.
Officers are now looking for two suspects and are urging witnesses to come forward.
One of them is described as around 19-years-old, tall, slim and with a dark curly fringe.
The other was said to be of a similar height and build, dressed in dark clothing with his hood up.
