A man has been arrested by police following a claw hammer attack in Crawley on Sunday afternoon (February 21st).
Officers were called to an address in Leopold Road at around 4.24pm.
The man who was reported to have been assaulted suffered minor injuries, which did not need hospital treatment.
A 55-year-old man from Crawley was arrested at the scene on suspicion of assault.
He remained in police custody as of Sunday evening.
A Sussex Police spokesperson said the incident was being treated as isolated, with no threat being reported to the wider community.
