A man has been arrested after a 10-year-old boy was seriously injured when he fell from height near Brighton.

He was airlifted to a London hospital after being badly hurt in Ovingdean at 5.00pm on Saturday.

The boy remains in a serious but stable condition, police said.

Sussex Police have not said what happened but a large number of emergency vehicles were seen on the cliff top.

The 52-year-old man has been bailed after being questioned on suspicion of allowing a child to come to serious physical harm.
