Man arrested in Worthing beach rape investigation
The 18-year-old was detained by officers on Wednesday (August 4th)
Police have arrested an 18-year-old man on suspicion of the rape of a young woman on Worthing beach.
The victim continues to be supported by specialist officers following the incident close to the Splash Point leisure centre on July 25th.
In a statement, Sussex Police confirmed the man was arrested on Wednesday evening (August 4th).
After being interviewed he was released on conditional police bail until September 2nd while enquiries continue.
