Man, 74, dies in crash involving four vehicles near Petworth

A 74-year-old man has died in a car crash near Petworth.

Four vehicles were involved in the collision on the A272 Horsham Road near Fox Hill at around 7.50am on Monday.

Police said the man from Reigate, Surrey was driving a white Porsche.

He was treated by paramedics but was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 65-year-old man from Midhurst, driving a white BMW, suffered serious injuries and was taken to St Richard's Hospital in Chichester where he is stable.

The other two vehicles were a black BMW and a white Audi. The drivers of both those vehicles were not injured.

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
