Two men from Littlehampton are getting ready to kick-start a magical Christmas today (19 December).

Brad Hanson and Sam Hughes - otherwise known by more than one million fans online as The Bald Builders - have decided nothing is going to stop Christmas this year.

They are offering free help to families, while spreading happiness to children and parents alike.

The entertainment duo will be delivering up to 5,000 free presents in the area this evening.

The Bald Sleigh will be heading straight out of their hub, which has been renamed The Bald Pole this Christmas.

They have transformed a lorry into a travelling grotto by wrapping it in red, with flashing lights, balloon arches and a speaker to play Christmas music.

It has been described as an "unmissable and magical travelling spectacular", which will be lead by Santa and his elves.

Brad and Sam told Greatest Hits Radio they were "buzzing" for the event.

The Bald Builders Grotto Sleigh will arrive at Wick Hall in Littlehampton from around 5pm tonight (19 December).

Local businesses have joined forces with The Bald Builders to support this free-of-charge event, including LuvSweeties who said:

"When we got approached by the Bald Builders regarding their Christmas event we just had to get involved.

"It’s all about giving back and supporting the local community who have supported us by shopping local.

"Also bringing the magic alive and putting a smile on these children’s faces with a bit of Christmas spirit which no doubt The Bald Builders will do exceptionally well."

Meanwhile a spokesperson for TS Paving added:

"Christmas is a magical time for children and as this year has been very hard on everyone with the current situation we are supporting the bald Christmas grotto to help bring a little Christmas magic back in to the hearts and homes of the children and their families."

A spokesperson for ITS.CO.UK said:

"When The Bald Builders explained what they were planning to do for Christmas it was an instant no brainer that we wanted to be involved, 2020 has been a challenging year so it’s great to be able to help bring smiles to peoples faces.

"It’s great to see how The Bald Builders like to give back to their community, they are full of fun and laughter but have a serious layer underneath that is utilising their following to help people, which is something we are proud to support them with. "

Social distancing guidelines will be in place, with the team confirming The Bald Grotto event will follow procedure for the lockdown measures in place.
