A former teacher at Lancing College has admitted to a number of child sex offences.

46-year-old Nick Baldock pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a teenage boy, who was a pupil at the school, in July 2022.

Several indecent images of children, who were not students, were also found on his phone, one of which being the most serious kind.

An investigation revealed he also used the school database to download and share non-indecent photos of boys with "like minded individuals."

The offences took place between 2021 and 2022.

Detective Sergeant Paul Hitchcock says he "betrayed the trust of all of his victims, their families and the entire school community using his position to pursue his disturbing sexual interest in young boys."

“I would like to thank the victim who reported the sexual assault to the school, which allowed us to discover the wider scale of Baldock’s offending, as well as Lancing College for their support of the investigation.

He will be sentenced on the 27th of September.
