Police are hoping to identify a woman by her tattoos – three months after her body washed up on the beach at Brighton.

The body was spotted by a member of the public shortly after 1.30 on Tuesday, December 20, in Saltdean.

Images of the woman’s tattoos have now been released following unsuccessful enquiries to identify her.

She is described as white, between 20 and 25-years-old, around 5’4”, of slim to medium build and was found wearing a purple sports bra, dark mauve sports leggings and Converse black boots.

Maritime authorities suggest it is possible she entered the water further west, no longer than 24 hours before she was discovered.

Anyone who recognises the tattoos or has any information about the woman is asked to report to Police online or by calling 101 quoting serial 598 of 20/12.
