Historic win for Crawley Town FC who earn promotion to League One
17,000 fans travelled from West Sussex to see their team
Celebrations have been continuing through the night as Crawley Town FC made history in their first ever trip to Wembley.
Scott Lindsays side have been promoted to League One after beating Crewe Alexandra two-nil.
It will be a day that will live long in the memory of fans, thanks to goals from Danilo Orsi and Liam Kelly.
17,000 fans travelled from West Sussex to see their team, one of those being super fan Reuben Watt, who told us:
"I feel ecstatic, what a day.
"I went to Wembley simply for a good day out, with 18 odd thousand Crawley fans, so to come away with promotion to League One is just incredible and it is so so so deserved by all of the players., all of the staff and the ownership.
"We were lucky VAR was in play because if Crewe had been given the penalty who knows what the outcome would have been.
"But the players should be so proud of how they played."
The Red Devils went into the League Two play-off final hopeful after being beat twice by the Cheshire side in the season.
It's a remarkable turnaround for the club that narrowly avoided relegation from the Football League 12 months ago.
The club has now announced it will host a promotion party at the Broadfield Stadium on Monday (20 May).
The club said the victory event is to show appreciation for the "excellent support" the team has received.
Doors will open at 7pm and players will be available to for pictures and to sign autographs.
