Organisers of the Goodwood Festival of Speed in West Sussex will go ahead this year and is to be used as one of the Government's pilot events.
Those wishing to attend the event, which runs from the 8th to the 11th July, will have to agree to the conditions of entry set out by the Events Research Programme (ERP).
They include either having had both does of the coronavirus vaccine at least 14 day prior to the event or proof of a negative Lateral Flow Test within 48 hours of the event. These can be taken at home or at a recognised centre free of charge.
Goodwood bosses say they will announce further details around conditions of entry in the coming days.
Last years weekend of racing action was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
In a statement, organisers said:
"Here at Goodwood, we are pleased that the national lockdown restrictions continue to ease and parts of the estate have been able to re-open. We are very much looking forward to being able to welcome all our members, visitors and guests back to the estate over the coming months.
"Further to the announcement from the Prime Minister on 14 June, and the latest information on the delay to Step 4 of the roadmap out of lockdown, we want to let you know what this means for visitors to the Goodwood Estate.
"Goodwood is pleased to confirm that the Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard will now form part of the Events Research Programme (ERP) as a pilot event. The event will take place as planned from 8 - 11 July.
"As a pilot, all people on site will need to agree to the conditions of entry set out by the Events Research Programme to safely enjoy the event.
"This will include either having had both doses of the vaccine at least 14 days before the event, or proof of a negative Lateral Flow Test, which can be taken at home or at a recognised centre free of charge, within 48 hours of the event.
"We will announce further details around conditions of entry, consent required from all fans to opt into the Event Research Programme and NHS Test and Trace requirements shortly.
"At this stage there is no requirement for you to contact us but please keep an eye out for official communications in due course.
"We understand that you may have further questions and ask for your patience and support as we navigate the latest changes regarding the restrictions and what this means for our events and venues."
