Fundraiser set up to support children of murdered Newhaven couple
The married couple were found dead at their home last week
A fundraiser has been set up to support the children of a married couple who were murdered in Newhaven.
Chloe and Josh Bashford, both in their early 30s, were found dead at their home in Lewes Road on Friday, June 9.
Derek Martin, also known as Derek Glen, is accused of killing the pair and appeared before Brighton Magistrates' Court on Monday.
The 64-year-old, of Moulsecoomb Way, Brighton, is currently being held in custody and police have confirmed he was known to them.
More than £13,000 has been raised so far and the couple’s family are asking for people’s help in supporting their children.
Loved ones have paid tribute, saying they were "funny and loving".
Georgie Last, a niece of the couple, who had four children, wrote on Facebook of her "heartbreak".
She added: "The most funny and loving pair, you loved each other so much it was just amazing to see what true love looked like.
"You were the most amazing parents to four beautiful, intelligent, and loving children."
People can donate on their Gofundme page.
