Armed police have found and arrested a man who went on the run after escaping from Ford Prison.

Jay Davis was reported missing from the site, near Arundel, on October 12th.

The 33-year-old had been serving a sentence for possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.

Officers were called to a campsite in Telscombe on Saturday afternoon, along with a National Police Air Service helicopter.

David was arrested there at 3.30pm and taken into custody on suspicion of being unlawfully at large.
