Five people have been rescued after the boat they were on capsized and sank off the coast of East Sussex on Monday (August 12th).

Coastguards from Newhaven and Birling Gap were called out after reports of a small vessel getting into difficulty off Seaford at around 2.40pm.

A Newhaven RNLI lifeboat, ambulance teams and police all attended the scene.
