Fire crews called to house blaze near Chichester

Four fire engines have been sent to the scene of a blaze which broke out at a property near Chichester.

Two pumps from Chichester and two from Bognor attended the scene in Arundel Way in Westhampnett at just before 5.30pm on Sunday (November 8th).

They were joined by the aerial ladder platform from Worthing.

Crews successfully dealt with the fire within two hours, with teams remaining at the scene to ventilate the property.

West Sussex Fire and Rescue said the fire is believed to have been connected to an electrical extension cable.

There have been no reports of injuries.
